ABOUT THE PROJECT
Background
Travel by electric App was developed to support the growing demand for seamless electric vehicle travel by providing a smart, user-friendly solution for route planning and charging.
The challenge many EV travelers face is not just finding where to charge but also making the experience smooth and efficient. Travel by electric App was designed to eliminate charging anxiety by integrating multiple charging station providers and enhancing the overall travel experience. The app redefines electric mobility by turning road trips into a stress-free and enjoyable adventure.
Objective
The goal of Travel by Electric App was to create an intuitive digital platform that helps EV travelers plan trips, locate charging stations, and optimize their time while charging. JT Design needed to address key traveler concerns: finding the best routes, managing charging logistics, and discovering activities near charging locations. Ensuring a smooth user experience while integrating different charging station providers was a critical focus for JT Design. The objective was to design a platform that simplifies every step of the journey, from trip planning to real-time charging updates. Ultimately, Travel by Electric App aims to encourage more people to embrace electric travel without the usual limitations.
Approach
The development of Travel by Electric App followed a structured UX & UI process to ensure a seamless and user-friendly experience. JT Design began the journey with user flow analysis, mapping out how travelers interact with the app from trip planning to charging. Wireframes and prototypes were created to visualize the app’s structure, ensuring intuitive navigation and accessibility. The most challenging aspect for JT Design was designing a unified charging flow that accommodates various station providers while maintaining a consistent experience. Continuous testing and iteration refined the app to meet user needs, ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience.
Deliverable
Travel by Electric App is a fully designed and optimized digital platform created to enhance the experience of electric vehicle travel.
Led by JT Design, the project included strategic planning, design supervision and a complete UI & UX design process – executed in close collaboration with the development team.
The app features an interactive travel map, real-time charging station availability and personalized recommendations for things to do while charging. Its seamless interface ensures an intuitive, stress-free user experience.
While not yet released, Travel by Electric App is designed to transform EV travel into a smarter, smoother and more enjoyable journey.
